Midyear Progress Review and 2021 Annual Action Plan Preparation Meeting of the Health System Enhancement Project (HSEP) was held from 22nd to 24th of July 2020 at MAS Athena Fabric Park Training Center with the staff of Project Implementation Units (PIU) of Central, North Central, Sabaragamuwa and Uva Provinces.
The meeting was chaired by Dr. Anil Dissanayake (Project Director, HSEP), Dr. Sisira Liyanage (Deputy Project Director, HSEP), Dr. Palitha Bandara (Deputy Project Director, North Central Province) and Dr. J.C.M. Tennekoon (Deputy Project Director, Uva Province). Design and Supervision Firm for Infrastructure Development and all the relevant officers of Project Management Unit (PMU) and PIUs attended the meeting.
Health Care Waste Management Equipment and Medical Furniture for 45 facilities under construction were finalized as the first activity of starting day. It was conducted by Project Secretary and Project Coordinator of PMU under guidance of Project Director and Deputy Project Director of HSEP. Procurement Specialist of PMU was explained how to prepare the Open Competitive Bidding (OCB) document.
On the second day, Physical and Financial progress of each provinces were presented by Monitoring and Evaluation Officers of respective PIUs. All the issues of civil work round 1 and round 2 were discussed in this session. After that COVID 19 response progress and Physical and Financial progress of the project were presented by Monitoring and Evaluation Officer and Finance Manager of PMU.
Annual Action Plan 2021 was finalized as final session of the last day of the meeting under the guidance of Project Director and Deputy project Director of HSEP with the inputs of relevant PIUs.
