The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has facilitated a $3 million grant from Asia Pacific Disaster Response Fund (APDRF) to further assist Sri Lanka in its response to the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. This fund was used to purchase of test kits, diagnostic reagents, personal protective equipment, other essential medical supplies related to COVID-19 response and for risk communication. The Fund was effective from 08th of June 2020 and was closed on 08th March 2021 and Health System Enhancement Project (HSEP) has been able to utilize the fund totally.
