Health System Enhancement Project (HSEP) funded by Asian Development Bank (ADB) under health security and COVID-19 control assistant grant of Sri Lanka has funded refurbishment of Central Sterilization and Supplies Department (CSSD) of De Soysa Maternity Hospital (Teaching).
By now this center has managed more than 258 deliveries of Babies by COVID-19 infected Mothers without any complications. De Soysa Hospital receives patients with Obstetric and Gynecological Complications from all over the country and gets premature babies for further management.
Project has spent 17 Million SLR for the refurbishment and another 3 Million SLR for Medical Furniture and Equipment. Project started on 03rd September 2020 and Completed on 13th February 2021.
This new facility was recently declared open and started functions enhancing the quality of the services provided by the hospital.
