Project Management Unit (PMU) has organized a one-day training on Asset verification for the staff of Health System Enhancement Project (HSEP) on 19th April 2021 at NEKSIP Practical Research Center under the guidance of Project Director.
Thirteen members from Project Implementation Units (PIUs) and sixteen members from PMU attended the program. The objectives of the program were to learn Inventory Management and Maintenance, Format Management, Stock Management, Documentation of Maintenance of Records and Stores Verifications Techniques.
General introduction to the training program was delivered by the Dr. Anil Dissanayake (Project Director, HSEP). The current procedures and HSEP asset management was briefed by Mr. Madushanka Samarakoon (Finance Manager, HSEP). Mr. E.S.P. Karunarathna (Former Staff Assistant, Asset Verifications, MoH) was invited as the main resource person of this program. Mrs. W.P.A.P. Wikramanayake (Chief Accountant, Stock Verifications, MoH) also participated as a resource person for this training program. The experience of former chief Finance Officer (CFO) of MoH Mrs. C. Adikari and former Deputy Chief Secretary of Finance North Central Province shared with the participants during the session.
