3rd Workshop on Proposed Cluster Management System in Primary Health

The Project Management Unit (PMU) of ADB financed Health System Enhancement Project (HSEP) and the Management Development and Planning Unit of the Ministry Of Health Nutrition & Indigenous Medicine arranged a one day workshop on 13th of June 2019 at MAS Athena Fabric Park Training Center to review the nine cluster management plans in the respective districts and to further discuss about the next steps with relation to the establishment and implementation of nine proposed clusters supported by HSEP in the respective provinces.

Introduction to the third cluster workshop and Cluster towards achieving SDGs was done by Dr. Vindya Kumarapeli (Director, Policy Analysis and Acting Director, Organization and Development) and Dr. Anil Dissanayake (Project Director, Health System Enhancement Project (HSEP). Few inputs were included to the workshop by Dr. Sussie Perera (DDG PHS II). Presentations on respective draft plans for implementation of a cluster care network was done by the respective officers of 9 cluster teams. Dr. Kumari Navaratne (ADB Consultant) concluded the workshop with her presentation on Proposed Evaluation of clusters to assess its impact on health seeking behavior, health outcomes, satisfaction and cost effectiveness and efficiency.
