Health System Enhancement Project (HSEP) funded by Asian Development Bank (ADB) under health security and COVID-19 control assistant grant of Sri Lanka has funded refurbishment of Central Sterilization and Supplies Department (CSSD) of De Soysa Maternity Hospital (Teaching).

Base Hospital (BH) Rikillagaskada is the Apex Hospital of Rikillagaskada Cluster of the Nuwara Eliya District and manage all the COVID 19 patients in the surrounding areas. 

Under the COVID – 19 response fund of the Health System Enhancement Project (HSEP - ADB) refurbishment of short stay ward at Provincial General Hospital Kalutara (PGH), converted to four (04) bedded High Dependency Unit (HDU) with negative pressure facility.

Project Management Unit (PMU) organized a two days orientation and preplacement workshop for newly recruited staff on 23^rd and 24^th December 2020.

Due to prevailing COVID-19 situation, Health System Enhancement Project (HSEP) has organized the second phase of GIS training program as an online training program via Google Meet on 17^th December 2020.

Responding to the government requirement to enhance the PCR testing capacity of the country Asian Development Bank has assisted to establish PCR Laboratory at Colombo East Base Hospital as a total solution in May 2020.
