Midyear Progress Review and 2021 Annual Action Plan Preparation Meeting of the Health System Enhancement Project (HSEP) was held from 22^nd to 24^th of July 2020 at MAS Athena Fabric Park Training Center with the staff of Project Implementation Units (PIU) of Central, North Central, Sabaragamuwa and Uva Provinces.

Health System Enhancement Project (HSEP) commenced the first phase of GIS training program on 29^th May 2020 started from Matale RDHS office, under the guidance of the Project Management Unit to establish 13 GIS cells at four PDHSs offices and nine RDHSs offices of Central, North Central, Sabaragamuwa and Uva Provinces.

Sri Lanka’s largest PCR testing laboratory was declared open on 24^th June 2020 at the Colombo East Base Hospital, Mulleriyawa by the Honorable Minister of Health and Medical Services Mrs. Pavithra Wanniarachchi.

ශ්‍රී ලංකාවේ විශාලතම Covid 19 PCR රසායනාගාරය ජූනි මස 24 දින මුල්ලේරියාව නැගෙනහිර කොළඹ රෝහලේ දී විවෘත විය. එය විවෘත කරනු ලැබුවේ සෞඛ්‍ය සහ දේශීය වෛද්‍ය සේවා අමාත්‍ය ගරු. පවිත්‍රා වන්නිආරච්චි මහත්මිය විසිනි. මෙම පරීක්ෂණාගාරය සඳහා අරමුදල් සපයනු ලැබුවේ ආසියානු සංවර්ධන බැංකුව විසිනි.මෙම ව්‍යාපෘතිය, සෞඛ්‍ය පද්ධති වැඩිදියුණු කිරීමේ ව්‍යාපෘතිය (HSEP) මඟින් ක්‍රියාවට නංවනු ලැබීය.

ආසියානු සංවර්ධන බැංකුව මගින් කොවිඩ් 19 වසංගත තත්වය පාලනය කිරීම සදහා ලබා දුන් අරමුදල් යටතේ සංවර්ධනය කරනු ලැබු තඹුත්තේගම මූලික රෝහලේ දැඩි සත්කාර ඒ්කකය ජුනි මස 20 වන දින උතුරු මැද පළාත් ආණ්ඩුකාරතුමා විසින් විවෘත කරන ලදී.

An Intensive Care Unit was declared open at the Thambbutegama Base Hospital on June 20^th 2020. The new Unit is part of the Health System Enhancement Project (HSEP) which is funded by the Asian Development Bank.
